Bring the taste of Portugal to your table with this traditional Peri Peri Sauce made from African Bird's Eye chilies and lemon. For authentic Portuguese grilled chicken simply marinate half chicken pieces in sauce for one hour prior to grilling. Use additional sauce for basting and always serve some fresh sauce on the side.
INGREDIENTS: Canola oil, jalapeno red pepper, white vinegar, red bell pepper, garlic, sugar, parsley, cilantro, sea salt, xanthan gum, African bird's eye pepper, lemon oil, spice, citric acid, potassium sorbate.
Refrigerate after opening. Shake well before serving

I marinaded deveined, shelled raw shrimp with strips of red bell peppers and white onion slices. In a cast iron skillet, we then grilled it until veggies were tender. I had added a little more peri peri sauce to pan before grilling. The sauce thickened while cooking and it was fantastic. We ate it right out of the pan. I never made it into a tortilla! I cant wait to use the peri peri sauce on chicken. Also, add some to some black beans and rice!

We loved the grilling sauce. We were never disappointed about any purchase, from sauces, pasta, vinegars and oils. At the moment my favorite combination is Basil EVOO pared with Tomato pulp vinegar.
