A lot of people use olive oil for cooking, but did you know it's great for baking too!? We whipped up a delicious Italian Skillet Bread perfect for cold weather.
With a few simple ingredients and a minimal amount of effort, you can have homemade bread all winter long!

This bread is not only easy and beautiful too! This simple no-knead bread recipe transforms your kitchen into an old Italian bakery!
2 cups Lukewarm water (100 degrees F)
1 package Active dry yeast
½ Tbsp. Coarse salt
4 ⅓ cups All purpose Flour
2 Tbsps. plus extra Garlic Olive Oil (Tuscan Herb or Basil EVOO would work also)
1 Tbsp. Tuscan Bread Dipper Herb Mix
2 Garlic cloves, minced
In a large mixing bowl combine water and yeast.
Add 1 cup of flour and salt. Stir with a wooden spoon to combine.
Stir in herb mix and garlic.
Add remaining flour, one cup at a time stirring until thoroughly combined.
Cover with plastic wrap and set in a warm, draft free spot to rise for 1 hour.
Add 1 Tbsp. olive oil to an 8 inch cast iron skillet. Make sure bottom and sides are covered.
Flour hands and transfer the dough after 1 hour to the skillet. Shape into a disk. Cover with a towel and let rise for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
Brush olive oil on top. Sprinkle coarse salt and a pinch of the herb mix on top.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove from oven and place bread on cooling rack. Brush with additional olive oil on top. Serve when cool.
