5 Olive Oils That Make Soup Better (from the can or made from scratch)

"Soup puts the heart at ease, calms down the violence of hunger, eliminates the tension of the day, and awakens and refines the appetite." — Auguste Escoffier

Is there anything more comforting than a hot bowl of soup on a cool evening after work? Here are some of our favorite olive oils to pair with classic soups (whether from a can or from scratch).

🥣Tomato Soup + Basil EVOO
Whether you make it from scratch or get it from a can, tomato soup can get a little boring. A simple way to dress up tomato soup is with a drizzle of Basil EVOO. Another trick is to pan fry cubed bread until toasted with Basil EVOO. Voila! Croutons for soup!

🥣Chili + Tex-Mex EVOO
Take your favorite chili recipe and finish it with Jalapeno Grapeseed Oil and you will not be disappointed! We’ve tried this spicy oil on White Chili and classic Chili Con Carne--you cannot go wrong!

🥣Lentil Soup + Garlic EVOO
Lentils' earthy flavor complements the garlicky bite of our bestselling Garlic EVOO. It's a delicious addition to lentil, bean, and split pea soups.

🥣Minestrone + Pesto EVOO
This classic Italian soup is a natural match for our herby Tuscan Herb EVOO. Try it in other soups such as Italian Vegetable soup and Pasta e Fagioli!

🥣Vegetable Soups + Meyer Lemon Olive Oil
The bright, citrusy flavor of our Meyer Lemon EVOO complements a wide variety of vegetable soups. Try it with carrot, broccoli, or cauliflower pureed soups, as well as chunky vegetable soups.
